UPDATE January 2024:
The best heroes including tanks, healers, supports, and dealers you can use are packed in this updated SOULS hero tier list. The first 2 heroes in the SS rank are the best of the best. So you can’t go wrong in investing in Richelle and Lulu at any given time. The rest of the heroes are top-tier as well but can be dependent on the team composition more than the first 2 heroes.
NOTE: Light and Dark heroes are hard to star up, but worth investing in the long run.

Should only be used as a guide, heroes’ true power can differ depending on team comp and the enemy stage.
Bahzam, Ripper, and Coco placements are still tentative and subject to change in the next tier list
This tier list was made by gathering knowledge and votes from 15 players currently in Endgame, discussing endgame meta, and content frequently. All of these players got to vote on the rank of each unit and this tier list is the average of these votes for endgame content.
The tier list is currently ORDERED from Left to Right by their numerical average based on the results of all players’ rankings.
NOTE: Later stages will have 2 or 3 waves (maybe even more later?) So you will need 10 to 15 heroes for these stages. Some units sitting in lower ranks will still be important for these stages.
What will this tier list tell you?
– Which units will perform better late game in specific or general situations?
– Which units are safe to invest in with endgame considerations
– Which units are good once invested in. (No, your 5* Sander will not outperform an 11* Telfer)
What will this tier list not tell you?
– Which units (except for S+ rank) are good in every content? Some units rank high because of their specialties.
– WHY a unit is bad or good. This is not a gospel, if you’re early game, stars matter a LOT.
– Which units will perform better for YOUR account?
SOULS Heroes Overview
There are a total of 66 heroes we can obtain of which 44 are EPIC, 12 heroes are RARE and considered as fodder, and 10 NORMAL that should be automatically recycled for Soul fragments.
Generally, we divide them into 6 races: Dark, Light, Human, Elf, Horde, and Undead.
Those are additionally categorized into roles: Tank, Support, Healer, and Dealer/DPS.
The type of attack/equipment is Strength, Agility, and Intelligence.

Richelle
An exceptional human tank that works well in any type of content in the game. You can (must) invest in him without any second thoughts. Viable for early to end-game content.

Skills
Active Skill – Imperial Protection
Apply a Shield to you and all allies adjacent to you equal to (max) 23% of (Richelle’s) max HP for 2 turns.
Passive Skill 1 – Drastic Measure
You and all allies adjacent to you do not take damage exceeding (max) 35% of your max HP from a single attack until round 3.
Passive Skill 2 – Heartless Command
Gain 5 energy additionally when attacked. When using a Shield, you remove 1 debuff(s) from each ally.
Passive Skill 3 – Reversal
Until round 5, at the start of each round, if HP is below 50%, heal yourself by 25% of max HP.
